The Reims Mountain, now a regional nature park, is at the Eastern extremity of Ile de France. The area dates back 70 million years and has a colourful geological history with layers of chalk, sand, clay and limestone.
The highest point, close to the “Faux” ( remarkably twisted beach trees) , in the estate forest of Verzy, rises to 288 metres.
The Montagne de Reims has some 9000 hectares of vineyard and 69 picturesque villages and even a lighthouse !
